Spinal Flow Technique™
Spinal Flow Technique is a holistic approach to health and well-being that helps enhance your body's natural healing abilities. Developed by former Chiropractor, Dr Carli Axford, it is a powerful yet gentle healing modality that focuses on the 7 Gateways of the spine and 33 Access Points to locate and release nervous system blockages caused by chemical, physical and emotional stress. These blockages can lead to pain, dis-ease and illness.
Blockages can cause interference in the communication between the brain, central nervous system, and peripheral nervous system, impacting overall body function. This disruption may lead to pain, symptoms, illnesses, emotional challenges, and a feeling of disconnection. By viewing pain as a warning sign, Spinal Flow empowers individuals to take proactive measures, preventing minor discomfort from developing into more serious health concerns.
The nervous system is the master controller of the body comprising your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves that exit the spinal cord through the vertebrae and connect to every cell, organ, tissue, gland and muscle in your body. While your brain is protected by the skull, your spinal cord is protected by the 24 moving vertebrae of the spine. Many everyday activities can cause your vertebrae to lose their normal position or motion, and this can result in nervous system dysfunction and ultimately, ill health.
By gently restoring spinal alignment and promoting the free flow of energy throughout the body, Spinal Flow facilitates natural healing and enhances overall well-being.
Spinal blockages are caused by emotional, chemical and physical stress the body experiences and hasn't processed, and when a blockage occurs, it creates interference with the nerve supply and messages from the brain are unable to reach the source, and this is when pain, dis-ease and illness begin to form. The Spinal Flow Technique can help detect where these stressors are stored, reduce nervous system blockages and create more ease in the body.
Spinal Flow works on the principle that there is a spinal wave within and our body has an innate intelligence (life force, chi, etc.) to heal ourselves. Spinal Flow activates this healing wave via access points in the body and when our spine is free from blockages, this force flows constantly and freely through each of the 7 Gateways and the nerve's signals can flow out and supply our organs and the cells of your body, resulting in health and healing.
Spinal Flow facilitates a full rewiring of the brain and your body relearns what it already knew to begin with; how to self-heal. Your sessions will be very safe and gentle.

The 7 Gateways of the Spine
The chart below outlines the ‘7 Gateways of the Spine’, which is the basis of the Spinal Flow Technique.
Each gateway is intricately connected to specific areas of the body, reflecting unique symptoms and personal stories from an individual’s life journey. Our comprehensive assessment includes posture analysis, physical evaluation, and spinal palpation to accurately identify blockages within each gateway.
