What to expect during your Spinal Flow

sessions

Spinal Flow Initial Consultation - new clients

The session will begin with a thorough intake process. You will be asked to complete an online health questionnaire prior to your appointment (see below). I will review your medical history, current health concerns, lifestyle and any specific goals you have for the session.

Discuss any finds and recommend a personal care plan to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.

Complete your first Spinal Flow session. During your session I will also use essences and Reiki (as required) and do a Chakra balance.

After your initial consultation

Once you have had your initial consultation and discussed your care plan, your sessions can be quite frequent, depending on the severity of your condition. The primary focus is to reduce or eliminate your most obvious symptoms.

Follow on sessions are 30 minute 1:1 sessions
Cost is $75 - we also offer discounted packs for 3 sessions

There are three stages of Spinal Flow care. Once you understand true health, you may want some type of ongoing Spinal Flow care. Like brushing your teeth, eating wholesome foods and other healthy habits, regular Spinal Flow checkups make sense. How you you decide to benefit from Spinal Flow is always up to you.

Initial Intensive Care (2-3 times/week)

Spinal Flow results may vary. Some clients enjoy immediate results; others find that their recovery takes several months, or longer. Just like your teeth, when you put bracers on, you teeth don't automatically straighten, it takes time

This is usually where most people begin their spinal flow care.

Corrective care (once a week)

When your ache or pain diminishes, the objective is to stabilize spinal function and promote a more complete healing.

With the maximum restoration of spinal function, many clients enjoy regular spinal flow care. This type of wellness care can save time or money by keeping minor problems from becoming more serious.

Wellness care (once a month)

Complimentary re-assessments

Allow (60 minutes)
Cost is $75

Re-assessments are crucial when we start your healing journey as they help us reassess your progress, reflect on your health goals and celebrate your successes. You can forget how far you have come when you start feeling better, so it is important to acknowledge and celebrate.

We recommend re-assessing your progress every 12 visits with the same tests that were conducted in your initial consultation. You will receive a report highlighting your areas of change, care plan moving forward and any self-care recommendations.

What you’ll need to know for your

sessions

Required details

You will need to complete a short health questionnaire prior to your first appointment, so a full health assessment can be done at the time of your session.

Please click the link below and complete as soon as you can.

Arrive on time

Please be mindful of your appointment time. If you arrive late to your appointment time you are missing out on time that I would like you to be on the table.

What to wear

Both Initial Consultation and Spinal Flow sessions are performed fully clothed. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that you can relax in as you will lie face down on a massage table during your session. Please do not wear jeans/denim/g-string or clothing with large seams as it makes it harder to contact the access points located on your sacrum.

Eat well

Whilst conducting regular treatment, it is best to eat fresh, organic fruit and vegetables and reduce your meat consumption. Try and minimise your intake of gluten, dairy and sugars, as they are hard for your body to digest. We recommend a daily mixed diet of fruit (vitamins), vegetables (minerals), berries (antioxidants), fish (omegas for brain and spinal health) as well as legumes, seeds, and nuts (protein). This will give your body the nutrients and building blocks you need to heal and become healthy.

Rest often

Give yourself time to rest and relax after your session. Your body may need some downtime to integrate the changes and adjustments made during the session.

While light movement is beneficial, avoid strenuous activities, heavy lifting and reduce twisting your spine immediately after the session to prevent undoing the benefits of the Spinal Flow Technique.

It is recommended you sleep on your side or back and a contoured pillow can also assist the curvature of your neck.

Keep active

Following your session, walk for at least 5 minutes. You have been lying on blocks to balance your sacrum and your body needs time to adjust to this new position.

Without distressing your body, engage in gentle, mindful movement to encourage circulation and prevent stiffness. Activities like walking, stretching or gentle yoga can be beneficial.

Our bodies are not designed to sit at a computer all day, so if you do, please try to get up and move every 20 minutes. Low impact stretching is a great way to get circulation without straining your body.

Stay hydrated

Immediately following your Spinal Flow session, drink at least 1.5 litres of water in the next 5 hours. Your body has released a lot of toxins during your session, and this needs to be released via water. If you don't drink enough water, you might feel queasy.
