What you’ll need to know for your sessions

Required details

You will need to complete a short health questionnaire prior to your first appointment, so a full health assessment can be done at the time of your session.

Please click the link below and complete as soon as you can.

Arrive on time

Please be mindful of your appointment time. If you arrive late to your appointment time you are missing out on time that I would like you to be on the table.

What to wear

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that you can relax in. You will be laying on a massage table during your session with little movement. Please do not wear jeans as the denim makes it harder to contact the access points located on your sacrum.

Eat well

Whilst conducting regular treatment, it is best to eat fresh, organic fruit and vegetables and reduce your meat consumption. Try and minimise your intake of gluten, dairy and sugars, as they are hard for your body to digest. We recommend a daily mixed diet of fruit (vitamins), vegetables (minerals), berries (antioxidants), fish (omegas for brain and spinal health) as well as legumes, seeds, and nuts (protein). This will give your body the nutrients and building blocks you need to heal and become healthy.

Rest often

Give yourself time to rest and relax after your session. Your body may need some downtime to integrate the changes and adjustments made during the session.

While light movement is beneficial, avoid strenuous activities, heavy lifting and reduce twisting your spine immediately after the session to prevent undoing the benefits of the Spinal Flow Technique.

It is recommended you sleep on your side or back and a contoured pillow can also assist the curvature of your neck.

Keep active

Following your session, walk for at least 5 minutes. You have been lying on blocks to balance your sacrum and your body needs time to adjust to this new position.

Without distressing your body, engage in gentle, mindful movement to encourage circulation and prevent stiffness. Activities like walking, stretching or gentle yoga can be beneficial.

Our bodies are not designed to sit at a computer all day, so if you do, please try to get up and move every 20 minutes. Low impact stretching is a great way to get circulation without straining your body.

Stay hydrated

Immediately following your Spinal Flow session, drink at least 1.5 litres of water in the next 5 hours. Your body has released a lot of toxins during your session, and this needs to be released via water. If you don't drink enough water, you might feel queasy.
